positiivses suunas ikka

Nooo, ma saan oma "suure" saladuse avalikustada nüüdseks. Ehk kandideerisin meie kursuse PR-tiimi liikmeks. Tegemist siis grupiga, kes esindavad ICM kursust erinevatel open-day'del ning käivad mööda erinevad (üldiselt Hollandi) koole ICMi kursuse kohta rääkimas. Mõtlesin, et ikka tahaks olla veidi aktiivsem siinses koolielus ning siis avaneski võimalus kandideerimiseks. Ning eile õhtul saabus meil, et ma olen vastu võetud! Esimene koosolek toimub peale vaheaega, eks siis näeb täpsemalt. 

Eile toimus meil klassiga väike õhtusöök (pigem suur, sest süüa ja juua sai rohkem kui küllalt). Nimelt kooli poolt oli igale klassile antud 300€, et klass saaks endale korraldada ühise ürituse. Meil kahjuks keegi midagi tarka korraldama ei hakanud (otsustasin, et teine kord võtame ohjad enda kätte ning teeme midagi lahedat), seega läksime ühte restorani. Kuna paljud inimesed erinevalt põhjustel osaleda ei saanud, siis see tähendas, et me saime veelgi rohkem endale peale kulutada (näiteks veini sai rohkem ostetud kui algselt plaanitud..). Osa seltskonnaga läksime veel edasi klubisse, kus toimus selle aasta viimane-viimane tudengipidu ning tagasi sooja voodisse sain jälle kell 4 öösel. 

Täna see-eest on üsna asjalik päev olnud. Kohver vaatab toanurgas vastu, viimased riided kuivavad veel.. Ning (peaaegu) kõik ostud on sooritatud. Seega õnnitlen ise-ennast siinkohal! (et suutsin asjad päev varem ära teha). Homme hommikul vara kooli, lõpetan kuskil 3-e ajal. Siis koju, peab toad ära koristama ning siis trammile ja rongile ja lennuki peale. Ja siis juba olengi Eestis (kell 23:15). Pikk päev ees ootamas, täis ärevust ja rõõmsaid hetki loodetavasti. 

Ostsin endale šokolaadi advendikalendri ka eile (ajastus on päris täpne, tean-tean). Hello-Kitty on peal ning maksis kõigest 25 senti (see hind oligi tegelik ostumotiiv).

Those were some random pics which have been done in the past couple of weeks. All the credits go to classmate Sara :)

Soooo, I can reveal my "big" secret! I applied for our course PR-team. So it is a group of students who are representing ICM course in different fairs/ open-days, and go around schools (usually in The Netherlands) to promote ICM. I thought that oh well, I could be little more active with my school life and then the opportunity came up. And the last night I received an e-mail stating that I have been accepted! The first meeting is after the Christmas holidays, I'll see how it is more exactly then :) 

Yesterday had a little class - meeting/ dinner (I shall say that the dinner was rather big as we had sooo much food). Anyways, every class got from school 300€ to spend on class "team-building" activity. Sadly no one organized anything cool in our class so we only had a dinner in one Italian restaurant. Many people declined the invitation for various reasons but that meant that we had more money to spend on ourselves (for example, more wine...). Some of the people went out to club later on, where it was the final-final student party this year and again I got back to my sweet bed around 4 AM.

Today has been quite productive. My suitcase is in the corner of my room, the last clothes are still drying.. And I have (almost) finished all my shopping. So I can congrats myself now! (that I managed to finish everything before the very last minute). Tomorrow gonna go to school in the early morning, finish around 3. Then back home, need to clean the rooms and then catch a tram, catch a train and then a flight back to Tallinn. At 23:15 will be back in Estonia. Long day ahead tomorrow, full of excitement and hopefully lots of happy moments.

Got myself a chocolate advent calender yesterday (I know that the timing is pretty perfect as it is already 19th of December..). It is Hello-Kitty one, and it cost only 25 cents (probably this was the main reason to buy it!).

motivatsioonipuudus blogis

Mis ma sellega öelda tahan, on see, et ma pole lihtsalt viitsinud blogi kirjutada (aega isegi oleks leidnud). Kuid mis seal ikka, elu läheb edasi ju. 

Eelmise nädala tippsündmuseks võib nimetada reede-õhtust Jõulupidu minu "Haagi perekonnaga". Ehk siis klassiõdedega. Korraldasime endale ühe väiksemat sorti Jõulupeo (nagu mina seda nimetan: söömapidu). Väga tore oli, toimus minu juures ehk vallutasime Rene toa ning tegime selle väga romantiliseks. Kuulasime jõulumuusikat, laulsime, naersime ja.. SÕIME-SÕIME-SÕIME. Ja vahetasime kinke mis oli tohutult armas!! Kõikidel olid nii armsad kingid ja kõik paistsid tohutult õnnelikud olevat- seega ma võin öelda, et sündmus läks vägagi hästi! 

Kolmapäeva viisime Alise'ga läbi ühe intervjuu oma Research Skills projekti jaoks. Kui ma veel maininud pole, siis teemavalik antud uurimustöö jaoks oli vaba ning otsustasime uurida ajakirjanduslikku fotograafiat. Ning kuna teema peab olema võimalikult konkreetne, et koostada põhjalik uurimustöö, siis keskendume Vietnami sõjale ning mis mõju oli antud fotodel USA meediale sõja toimumise ajal. Väga imelik antud teemat Eesti keeles kirjeldada. Igatahes, meie intervjueeritav oli üks fotograaf/ fotograafia ajaloo õpetaja, ning päris lõbus oli päris-elus läbi viia intervjuud. Natukene närveerisime ikka, kuid kokkuvõttes saime vastused kõikidele küsimustele ning too fotograaf oli vägagi sõbralik. Tegin talle kohvi välja.

Neljapäeva õhtul mõtlesime, et peab ikka tegema ühe viimase (tudengi)peokese Haagis ning käisime väiksel linnatuuril. Kokkulepe oli, et lahkumine klubist enne 2te ning alkoholi palju ei tarbi. Enam-vähem õnnestus kokkulepetest kinni pidada. Jõudsin koju kell 3 ning järgmine päev oli täitsa OK olla.

Antud kokkulepped olid aga tingitud asjaoludest, et reedel oli kõikidel midagi tähtsat teoksil. Minul oli üks intervjuu (kahjuks mitte töö intervjuu), kuid ma veel ei taha sellest lähemalt rääkida. Kui tulemused saabuvad, siis teavitan (mis peaks olema homme/ ülehomme). 

Ainult 4 päeva veel, ja ma jõuan koju. Nagu wow! Mäletan väga hästi, kui kirjutasin, et 2 kuud nüüd eemal kodust.. aga oih. ongi aeg koju tulla! Ja ootan, ootan tohutult! See kord üritan targem olla ja hakkan asju pakkima varem. Mitte viimasel minutil. Nagu tavaliselt.

I have a lack of motivation of writing this blog. Well I have just been lazy (it is not about lack of time now). But life goes on. 

The most important event of the last week was on Friday when I had my Christmas-evening with my "The Hague's family". So with my dearest classmates. Handed out Secret Santa gifts and ate a lot. It was very-very lovely, and cause the party was at my house we decorated Rene's room very nicely (the biggest room and he already left for Christmas). Anyways, listened to Christmas music, sang, laughed and.. ATE-ATE-ATE. Of course exchanged the gifts too which was extremely sweet! Everyone had such a lovely presents and everyone seemed so happy- so I think I can say that the event went very well! 

On Wednesday me and Alise were conducting an interview for our Research Skills project. If I haven't mentioned before then we are researching about photojournalism (the topic choice was free). And as we have to be very specific with our research topic/ question/ whatever/, then we are looking at Vietnam war and how the photos published in media at that time affected the USA society and print-media. Anyways, the interviewee was one photographer/ history teacher and it was pretty fun to conduct an interview in real-life. We were bit nervous... But it turned out good, received all the answers and the guy was very friendly. I even bought him a coffee, I guess it was the least we could do for him to thank him for his time :)

On Thursday night we thought that we have to attend one last student party here in the Hague (well, there's another party tomorrow but we will see if we go there ). Last week we made a deal that gonna leave the club before 2 and won't drink too much. The agreements turned out pretty good as I arrived home before 3 and the next day I felt totally fine.

But those agreements had reasons too... All of us had something important coming up on Friday. I had one interview (sadly not a job interview), but I don't want to talk about it yet. When I get any results I'll let you guys know (which should be tomorrow/ day after tomorrow).

Only 4 more days and I'm home! wow! I remember very well that I wrote that the next 2 months I have to spend in The Hague.. But now it is time to go home already! And I'm looking forward!!! This time I'm trying to be better and will start packing in advance. Not on the last minute. As usually. 

Oh, and Frank Sinatra/ Michael Buble Christmas songs are constantly on the playlist.

Happy Birthday, my little sis!

pean lihtsalt teavitama tervele maailmale (blogi-lugejatele ühesõnaga), et mu väiksel õel on sünnipäev täna! Vanuseks juba 8 (wowow, kuidas aeg lendab!). Tegin väikese Skype kõne temaga õhtul, seletas mulle oma kingitustest ja ma näitasin talle ka minu poolset sünna kinki (paki sees). Ta peab veel umbes 10 päeva kannatama, et teada saada, mis selles salapärases pakis on. 

Tõesõna, igatsen vist aina enam koju. See on tihti peale nii, et mida aeg lähemale, seda rohkem tahan tagasi koju. Nüüd see aeg ongi kohe-kohe käes. 

Üks hea uudis oli täna veel. Meie Bulgaaria (Sofia) ülesanne.. Saime läbi, õpetajale vist päris meeldis meie teema. Nüüd võin saladuse välja öelda... et me brändisime Sofiat kui kommunistlike joontega Euroopa riiki, kus saab nö ajas tagasi minna (ehk kommunismi aega avastada). Ja et see on segu modernsusest ja kommunismi joontest. Suunatud noortele seiklushimulistele Euroope üliõpilastele. See väga kokkuvõtvalt (ja tõenäoliselt tundub väga imelik, kuidas üht linna promoda). Kuid ma ise suht rahul, vähemalt erinesime veidi massist ja ei promonud Sofiat kui öö-elu linna... :) Nüüd vaja veel logo ja slogan koostada ning veits visuaalset poolt brändile teha, homme tegelemegi sellega.

So, I just have to let the world know (at least you, my blog-readers), that my little sis has a birthday today! She's already 8 (wowowow, how the time flies!). Had a little Skype call with her, she explained me what did she get for her bday and I showed her my bday present for her (which is nicely wrapped). So she has to wait around 10 more days to open it. 

Seriously, I miss home more and more. I find it pretty often that the closer the time gets to my arrival back home, the more I miss that. Well, the time to go home is ALMOST here.

Oh, one good thing too. Our Bulgarian assignment (Sofia branding)... We passed! The teacher quite liked our idea (recommended some improvements obviously). But now I can finally tell u what we actually did... So we branded Sofia as a European city with communism signs present, where it is possible to discover the past (20th century history more precisely). And it is a mixture of modern architecture and communism features. Targeted for adventurous European youth, who like to explore. So this is what we did generally (and probably it sounds very weird). But I'm pretty happy with that, at least we stood out from the crowd as most of the teams promoted Sofia as night-life city. Now we need to make up a logo, slogan and some visual concept for the brand, tomorrow gonna start working for that.

3 linna külastus, väike külmetus, söömine ja elu nautimine

Hey! 

Viimati lubasin siin suure suuga, et lisan kohe hästi palju pilte oma tegemistest! Lisan-lisan, kuid ma arvasin, et pilte tuleb rohkem selle 4 päeva jooksul. 

Noh, igatahes, mu kallis sõbranna Eelin saabus teisipäeva õhtul siia meie juurde! Reis oli üsna lühike, kuna ta lahkus juba laupäeval. Kuid see-eest saime (peaaegu) kõik plaanitud asjad ära tehtud/ proovitud ning tohutult palju naerda üheskoos! Ja tohutult palju süüa! (Tõsiselt, ühiste hobide alla kuulub meil söömine). 

Kolmapäeval käisime Rotterdamis. Saladuskatte all võin öelda, et eesmärk oli tegelikult šoppamine (Primarki külastus) ning muud poekesed. Ja see eesmärk sai päris hästi täidetud. Sain oma loosipaki kingitused ja endalegi veidikene asju seotatud. Ja tiirutasime veidi niisama linna peal, vaatasime ilusad jõulukaunistusi ja unistasime ilusast elust.

So the last time I promised that I'm gonna add lots of photos now. I will do that but honestly I thought I will have bit more photos.

Anyway, my lovely friend Eelin from Estonia arrived on Tuesday evening. Her trip was quite short as she left already on Saturday evening but we managed to do (almost) everything what we had planned and obviously we got to laugh a lot together as we hadn't seen each other for 2 months! And we ate A LOT (yeah, we can say that eating is one of our mutual hobbies). 

On Wednesday went to Rotterdam. Secretly I may tell you that the aim of visiting Rotterdam was shopping (Primark mostly). And we achieved that pretty well. I got my Secret Santa's gifts and couple of things for myself too. Also went around the town a bit, looked at nice Christmas decorations and dreamed about nice future. 

Neljapäeval pidin päeval koolis käima korra, lubasin kella 3ks tagasi kodus olla. Jõudsingi 2:57 tuppa, nii et Eelin oli väga rahul minuga. Väike lõuna ning siis otsustasime linna peale minna. Näitasin talle Haagi kesklinna, parlamendi hoonet ikka ja kuningapaleed. Ja poode muidugist! Õhtusöök oli Pizzahuti väga meeldivas restoranis.. hehe :)

Koju jõudes aga jõudis mulle kohale tõsiasi, et kurk on mul natukene valus ja täpselt "palaviku tunne" oli tulemas. Ning umbes tund hiljem värisesin siin täiesti ja olingi palavikus. Jeei, ajastus oli no täiesti-täiesti perfektne (iroonia muidugist). Eelin vedeles siis koos minuga siin, võtsin enne magama minekut väikse tableti alla ja lootsin tohutult, et hommikuks olen terve. 

On Thursday I had to go to uni for a bit, promised Eelin that I'll be back before 3. I arrived 2:57 so that she was very satisfied with me. Small lunch at home and went to town. Showed her the Hague center, the Parliament building and etc. And ofc visited some shops again (can't resist that I guess). Had dinner in Pizzahut which apparently was a really nice restaurant here (compared to some London ones it was very nice). 

When arrived home, I realized a sad fact that my throat was aching and.. I had the "I have a fever" feeling. Not good. Around an hour later I was shivering with my fever. Yay. The timing was absolutely perfect (exactly when my friend is here...). Stayed in bed, took a paracetamol before going to bed and hoped that I'm gonna be fine in the morning.  

Reede hommikul ärgates mõistsin, et palavikku mul ei pruugi olla, kuid ega tervis kõige parem veel ei ole. Ehk siis tohutu nõrkus valdas mind ja pikalt püsti olla ei jaksanud. LISAKS oli ööga õues lumi maha tulnud. Mis tähendas, et rongi ja trammiliiklus on väga häiritud. Seega võtsime vastu otsuse, et Amsterdami läheme hoopis laupäeval (lootes, et mu tervis on laupäevaks parem ja rongiliiklus tagasi normaalses olekus). Aga mul oli lihtsalt liiga kahju terve päev veeta toas, seega võtsin oma energia kõik ühtekokku ja läksime Eeliniga linna. Tal oli vaja hunnik kingitusi ja endale paar asja veel soetada. Mina väga olla ei jaksanud, nägin vist üsna zombie välja poodides, kuid mul oli hea meel, et Eelin sai kõik vajalikud asjad ostetud. Õhtul kuulasime jõulumuusikat ja vaatasime Love Actually. No täiesti jõulud meil! Linnas toimus üks tudengipidugi, kuid mul oli vaja end siiski terveks ravida.

Laupäeva hommikul tundsin end igatahes täitsa inimesena ning ega Eelin ei saanud lahkuda siit ilma Amsterdami külastamata! Seega kohver pakitud, võtsime suuna pealinna suunas. Külastasime muidugist punaste laternate tänavaid, natukene ekslesime seal ja avastasime Chinatowni, ekslesime veel ja leidsime ühe turu, mida otsisime. Käisime söömas muidugi, siis edasi seiklesime veel ringi šopingutänaval (meenutab Oxford Streeti, eriti laupäeviti kuna liikuda oli väga keerukas). Ning otsisime juustu Eelini perele. Lõpuks oligi aeg minna tagasi rongijaama ja võtta suund lennujaama/ Haagi suunas. Saime õnneks samale rongile, seega hüvastijätt oli rongis ning ma sain veel Haagi pool tundi üksi sõita. 

Laupäeva õhtul käisin veel ühel üritusel, nimelt Eesti tüdruk Teele lõpetas ICM ning korraldas väikse lahkumispeokese. Ei tundnud kedagi sealt, kuid tegelikult vägagi tore õhtu kujunes. Väga pikaks õnneks ei veninud, kuid positiivseid emotsioone kogusin kuhjaga antud peokeselt. 

Täna olen koristanud, õppinud ja üritanud asjalik olla. Üritanud jah. Vahelduva eduga.. Kuid vähemalt olen tegelenud tähtsate asjadega, seega ma arvan, et võib päeva edukaks nimetada.

Kokkuvõtvalt oli tõesti megasuper 4 päeva Eeliniga. Sai nii-nii palju naerda. Sai tänavatel kenasid mehi vaadata. Sai palju süüa. Sai asju šopatud. Sai unistada ja sai ilusat elu elada. Ning vähem kui kahe nädala pärast näen teda jälle (ja teisi kalleid tüdrukuid).

On Friday morning I understood that I might not have a fever any longer BUT that doesn't mean I'm feeling great. I had an awful weakness instead. Also, it had snowed over the night. That means that the train and tram lines are having problems in The Netherlands. So we decided to post-pone Amsterdam trip for the following day (hoping that I'm gonna be feeling better and the trams will be fine again). But it felt so bad to stay at home the whole day so we went around The Hague. Eelin bought some presents and some other things for herself and I was happy for her (I was basically like a zombie just walking around shops). In The evening we were listening to Christmas music and watched Love Actually. True Christmas spirit! There was actually a party in the town but I really wanted to get better for the next day so decided to stay at home. 

On Saturday I felt like a human again and Eelin couldn't leave The Netherlands without visiting Amsterdam! We finished packing her suitcase and went to catch a train to Ams. Of course visited the Red Lights District, got bit lost and found Chinatown, and got bit more lost and found the market we were actually looking for. Also, went to have lunch and then arrived to the main shopping street (which reminds Oxford Street, especially on Saturdays when it is extremely difficult to move there). And we were also looking for cheese for Eelin to take home. Finally it was time to go back to the train station so she would get to the airport on time. Luckily got the same train (direction to Brussels) and said good-bye to her on a train.. :)

On Saturday evening I went out also, one Estonian girl Teele actually graduated ICM program and she was throwing a little fare-well party. I didn't know anyone from there but the evening was actually really nice. Didn't stay for too long (others went to a club) but the night was full of positive emotions. 

Today I have been cleaning and tried to do useful things. Well, tried yes. I may say that it has been pretty successful day. 

But overall, the week was great! Got to laugh a lot, spend time with one of my best friend. Got to look at nice guys on the streets. Got to eat a lot. Had some nice shopping. Got to dream about nice future and got to enjoy our nice life. And in less than 2 weeks gonna see her again (and my other girls also). can't wait tbh.
