Uue korteri otsingud on täistuuril, kuid hinnad on üsna kallid igal pool...

See riik on paratamatult üks osa mu elust.

Eelmine nädal lahkusin koolist tihti peale alles kell 9-10 õhtul, kuna lihtsalt mul on seal võimalus arvuteid kasutada ja ma saan palju rohkem asju seal tehtud. (See nädalavahetus mu kallis klassiõde Hannah laenas oma laptopi, kuna ta ise läks tagasi Saksamaale 2ks päevaks, ja niinii hea on arvutit omada. Täiesti sõltuv tehnoloogiast.)

Lisan pilte ka reisist ning seniks kohtumiseni!

Käisin M&M maailmas endale uut kotti valimas...
Went to M&M world for bag shopping..

Andrea!!

And from bday celebrations in the Hague, one blurry picturee

Where to start with. The last short post was done more than 2 weeks ago, on my birthday. Maybe I can blame the age of posting so little :)
As I have been relatively open about my personal life in this blog, then I shall continue writing openly. I am going back to Estonia. The decision was pretty hard to make but...
Ok, it's a joke. Bad joke. Hhaha, I will stay in The Netherlands, but I will tell you what has happened:

- We got checked by the municipality (I am referring to Dutch laws that in one flat only 2 people who are not related to each other, are allowed to live together). This happened more than 2 weeks ago and shortly we are forced to move out and currently we are looking for a new home. Last week we cancelled the contract with the current landlord and we should move out by the 1st of April. Looking for new places 24/7 though the prices are pretty high...

- The most negative news is what happened a day before my bday and my flight to UK.. well, someone broke into our flat. Well, when I got home from school at 8 in the evening, everything was extremely messy and all the valuables had been taken (as well as my laptop, camera, phone). Most likely I have lost those things for forever.

- My trip to England! 1 week, 3 cities and lots of nice people :)) I can't actually summarize this trip very well, but London is still as supercool as it has always been to me, Plymouth was super as I got to spend time with my lovely Estonians and in Hastings I got to recall lots of old memories with my lovely host-family. I will add pics from my trip, but the emotions were amazing over the trip. I even enjoyed those long train rides and just the fact that I can be in this country. Needless to say, England is a part of my life and will always be.

- Birthday party! When I got back on last Saturday, my lovely flatmate Rene was preparing a dinner and we had a lovely meal together with Eva, Rene and Alise. Very sweet time and later on we went to celebrate my bday! Well, I got a friend's friend's flat for "myself" for the evening to celebrate my ageing with good people around me (of course together with lots of alcohol...). The memories from that night vary a lot, however, everyone had a nice time!

- In addition, as I don't have a laptop atm, university has officially became my second home. Last week there were couple of days where I left uni at 9-10 in the evening because I simply have a possibility to use a computer there and I can work much more there. (This weekend my classmate Hannah borrowed her laptop, cause she went back to Germany for couple of days. and it feels amazing to use a computer at home. I am totally depending on technology.)

I will add some pics from my UK trip and will get back to you soon!

21

(on üks Taani poiss, hehe).

Last week (well, the week with Vastlapäev /Estonian traditional day, have no idea how to explain that/ and Valentines day) was super fast. I don't want to complain but the last week was almost like non-existant. Stop here, so why was it so busy, what was I up to? I spent most of the time in school! So fun! I seriously spent more time in school (or library) than at home. Generally, it is quite tiring lifestyle to have so for example on Friday I well asleep already at 10 and had a nice 12hours long sleep.

Anyways, this term is so much pressure compared to the last ones. Our big project branding project (doesn't make sense haha) about Yakult company is very time-consuming and ofc we have other subjects to take. Oh and ofcourse I also have my Chinese people to teach. 4 hours per week does not sound like a lot of work, however it often means to me waking up earlier or spending more time in school compared to my classmates.
Nevertheless, for some reason I enjoy when I have plenty to do! Then at least I don't feel like I am wasting my time. So, although I am tired I do feel pretty good. Pretty good with the fact that we are gonna make it with our projects (hopefully).

Valentines day was nice, and in the Netherlands Valentines day is celebrated as Valentine day (it is a comparison to Estonian tradition where we celebrate a friends' day instead of valentines day- basically we are valuing our friends, and even kids in primary schools make cards to each other on that day). But, as mentioned before, my Valentines day was nice as I even had a small date on that night. Turned out to be quite nice (there's one Danish guy, hehe). Went to the cinema to see Bruce Willis who was fighting for his life for I-don't- know- how- many-times. Such a "romantic" movie to watch ;)

The best news...... Is that I am going to London this Friday!! We have one week off from school and this time I decided to go to UK instead of Estonia. Last time I was there was in November 2011 so I actually do miss the feeling of UK, my host-family and friends there... a lot. And well, the flight tickets to London are little bit (ok, more than a bit) more cheaper compared to Estonian Air tickets to Tallinn. Anyways, on Friday there is another big event.. It is my birthday!! Getting again a year older.. So that means there are gonna be big celebrations in London cityyyy yay!

On Monday I will start my journey towards Plymouth, where there are three lovely Estonian girls waiting for me.. Couple of days in Plymouth and then to Hastings- my previous home town . Will spend time with my beloved host family and host mum who I miss the most! I am truly grateful that I had such an amazing host-family at that time!!

But yeah, that's me travelling around England alone next week. Kind of scary but then again, travelling alone is in a way really awesome! Let's just hope that everything goes as planned!
So this was my short summary about my current life.. ;)

surra-murra

Pikk, liialt pikk paus blogi postitamisega.

Uued ained.

Eks mul oleks veelgi enam rääkida, kuid las see praegu jääb. Parimat!

kids on business-trip
 Kätega vehkimas niisama

 Leedu poistega chillimas
Käisin väikesel kohtingul , hihihiii
Had a small date last night, hihihi

Long, way too long break from writing my blog. Some few people have been making notes about my non-existencial writing... But here I am. Thinking where to begin and what to talk about.
Quick review of what happened 2 weeks ago. So, we had our little business-trip with our course. The company is named Yakult (it is production probiotic drinks, in Estonia everyone knows Actimel for example as being similar drink). Anyways, our task is to develop a new product, either food or drink product. We are allowed to come up with new brand, however, we need to stick with Yakult brand values (their DNA). In addition, the product needs to be sold in a specific out-of-home channel. At the moment we are in the beginning phase, should start with segmenting the target audience and conducting the interview questions etc.

So, to move on. New subjects in school. Very complicated at first. We have to make many researches, and moreover, this term is about presenting and debating. We have both modules this term- so how to learn to present WELL and EFFICIENTLY and how to debate. Basically, public speaking every week. To be honest, it is all very good and beneficial, but as I tend to have a little fear of public speaking... then those lessons are often the most scary ones. Generally, we have a whole lot of things to do this term.

On the 2nd of February we had an oped day at The Hague University! And as I belong to PR-team then I had this great opportunity to participate and represent our course. And honestly, it was mega-super-cool. Meaning, simply cause I like our course that much, it is easy to talk about it. Many started talking in Dutch however, this didn't stop telling them about the course. And the fact that I had been to Tallinn Uni for one year, was actually a good way to compare those two courses and it gave me definitely a great possibility to promote the current course here. Well, standing for 6 hours and constantly talking was tiring, however the experience was great! Another time again for sure.

The same day I had big plans for the night (2 bday parties and a nice party in one club), BUT when I got back home from open day, I realized quickly that I am ill. Again. Yes, the same thing again. I was sooooo angry, like where the f* does this sickness come from. And ruins my plans all the time. well, had a nice talk with my mum, and cause she is the coolest mum on Earth, then she told me to take paracetamol and go to bday party. So I did. And thanks to that I managed to meet 2 Estonian guys. Which made me extremely happy- I mean meeting Estonians here is so awesome for some reason.

The bday party was cool (I skipped the club part though), though the next following 2 days weren't that nice. I was shivering in bed with my high temperature and my tonsils were both really swollen. Monday morning the first thing was to call to doctor and make an appointment. Of course they prescribed my antibiotics again, this time they worked much quickes (other pills). And I was just happy about it because of the school work which adds up really quickly.

Oh not to forget, this week I started with my English coaching sessions with (mostly) Chinese students. The first lesson was pretty catastrophic, cause I seriously did not know what to prepare... But today for example was pretty fun, I came up with my own Alias game (it is a famous game back in Estonia). I already feel, that this job requires my time, but on the other hand I enjoy it. If the lesson goes successfully, then I feel really positive energy. And within one week I have learnt quite a lot about China/ Chinese students :)

I know it is a long post so  I will try to be more punctual again. I actually would have more to talk about but let it be at the moment. All the best! ;)

Lust ja lillepidu

Asjad on tegelikult tõsisemad.

Hetkel on käsil projektinädal, ehk toimuvad erinevad work-shop'id ning homme läheme me ühte firmasse (firma nime pole avalikustatud, kuid asub põhja-Amsterdamis).

Kindlasti uus kogemus.

Kuid siin tuleb ka üks aga... See suur-väike "aga" seisneb Hollandi seadustes. Ehk ma pean endale tegema kohaliku tervisekindlustuse, mis maksab ligikaudu 100€ kuu. Jah, üks kuu on 100€.

Samas, minu isiklikust seisukohast, tuleb siiski antud töö kasuks. Naljakas see Holland.

 Work-shops
 Sisemist tasakaalu otsimas...

The things are little bit serious. I have some positive and some disturbing things going on right now. Maybe shall we start with the positive things... Well, I may say I have my health back. Finished with antibiotics yesterday, my throat is still swollen, however it doesn't hurt that badly ano more. I feel more energetic and my mind has caught up with the studies. And I am just happy about it.

Currently we have a project week, so different workshops every day. Tomorrow we have a trip to one company (don't know the name of the firm but it is located in North-Amsterdam). This company is going to be our "client" and they are going to give us a task. Sadly I still don't know what kind of assignment it is going to be (whether branding, marketing, communication, creating new product etc...), there are many options. So we have to ask as many questions as possible regarding to this project and the next following 5-6 weeks we will work on that. Also, next week we start with out normal lecturers/ seminars. But honestly, I am looking forward for tomorrow. A lot.

So, the "big news" of the week.... I have a job. It is not a big salary neither a lot of working hours, but I have a job. The employer is my own university and my main task is about teaching foreign students (mostly from China) English language. Well, I am not officially their teacher, more like a "speaking-buddy". Or... I am not completely sure yet, but 4 hours per week I am going to be teaching. Definitely a new experience.

On the other hand, there is one big "but"... Which is due to the laws of Dutch government. That means that I have to make myself a Dutch insurance which costs around 100€ per month. Yes, 100€ per month. Every person in The Netherlands must pay that amount if they want to work. And as I am already being pretty open here with my thoughts, then my salary will be around 140€ per month... Simple maths tells us that ohhhh- meaning basically don't get anything for myself. And then again, the question rises: why should I even bother to have a part-time job if I have to pay so much money for that...

However, in my personal viewpoint, this will benefit me. Firstly, as I am going to spend at least the next 2,5 years in The Netherlands, I have to work anyways. And well, I have to start somewhere. Then again, if I manage to get myself another job (maybe during the weekends), then I could pay nicely for the insurance. And there is one other good point- I might be able to get some of the insurance money back from the Dutch government cause I have a relatively small income. I will definitely apply for that very soon but this country is again funny in this point... So, I have to call one organization and ask them to send me an application-form to fill it out. Yet, the employees of this organization are not allowed to speak in English (please don't ask me why, I really don't know). And while calling there they may simply answer you: "Yes, I can speak English but I am not allowed". And the next you year is in Dutch. And sadly my Dutch language level is not that advanced yet. Funny Netherlands I must say.

Ok, I managed to tell you all my great/ big thoughts. and we still have snow here (who told me that it almost never snows here during the winter??!?!)
